Heroes are puzzle verbs
A character is best understood by the action they add to the board: pushing, pulling, teleporting, attacking or altering an object's state. Switch often and plan the order of actions before moving the most constrained hero.
Stories eventually meet
Each world begins with its own characters and story. The larger structure brings those casts together, allowing both their narrative roles and mechanical abilities to overlap.
